My RV-7A is now at the BRS skunkworks. Their engineers have decided
on installation of the system in the baggage area. This location
makes for a much easier install than the front location which would
require extensive re-engineering, especially for the the slider
canopy. With an estimated weight of 30 lbs. there will still be 70
lbs. available for baggage. The system will be simular to the BRS172
that is certified for use in the Cessna 172.
When I was up there I ask them about the system for the RV-10.
They said after they get done with my RV 7/9 system the RV-10
will most likely be next. They said it will be simular to the
system for the Cirrus. They will have to wait till the RV-10
fuselages become available before they can conduct dynamic
testing of tether attachment points.
I'm sure it will be available by the time the 10's are flying.
