Can anyone tell me if Avery's "Hand Riveting and Dimpling Tool" has a
deep enough throat for the relatively larger RV-10 skin pieces? The
Avery catalog lists the throat dimension as 22". I'm assumming that
some of the pieces, especially wing skins, are significantly larger
than any previous RV kit.
Thanks,

I can't speak for the wings since I don't have that kit
yet. I did find one spot already that the Avery dimpler
couldn't reach inside the vertical stabilizer skin. I
had to use the pop rivet dimple dies available from Avery to
get about 6 holes in the VS.

Tis true indeed. I just did the VS skin today and couldn't get the last two
rivet holes on the middle nose rib at the leading edge. No problem...that's
what the pop rivet dimple die is for. It's a MUST have tool...both for 3/32
and 1/8. This VS is going great guns...riveting skin on after only two days
of part time effort. Fabulous kit!

Hah! Great to know it wasn't me just being chicken on the skin. I
ended up using the pop rivet dies on those holes, and figured I was just
wimping out, lol.
