Could anyone in the group tell me if they did or did not receive the
F824-B coverplates for the tailcone with the empennage kit. I have
kit #7 and they did not show up on my shipping invoice. I called
Van's and they said that these would come with a later kit yet the
instructions keep calling out for the part. I think they should have
come with the rest of the tailcone parts. Any info would be
appreciated! Thanks

I received two coverplates, for the elevator horn inspection holes. I think
they're the 824's...I'm at work and don't have plans/picklist handy.

I received 2 F824-B coverplates in my empennage kit #40114. They are
located on the packing list in subkit #2.

That solves the mystery. I had such an early kit that I didn't get the scrap bundle to start with. I called Van's and they sent me a bundle but the plates were not in it. They are shipping some with the wings. Thanks to all....
