Here's some more info I got from CrossFlow regarding the RV10:
We have, indeed, started scheming a package for this aircraft, which at
this time would utilise the Crossflow CF6-33 six cylinder engine rated
at 260 hp.This engine is currently installed in a number of aircraft and
was on display at Oshkosh Airventure 2003 where it was installed in a
Compair 6 and was flown to and from the Show.
We have spoken with Ken Kreuger at Van's re obtaining the design data
required properly engineer the installation . It is planned to be able
to show our concept of a comprehensive Engine Installation package in
the near future.
Until we have fully defined the installation it is difficult to provide
accurate pricing but I would offer our provisional 2004 pricing as a
guide.
For an engine installation package incorporating the naturally aspirated
CF6-33 engine it is '04 US$28,750.00
For an engine installation package incorporating the turbocharged
CF6-33T rated at 300 hp it is '04 US$31,050.00

It should be added that there are pictures of this installation on the
Crossflow website see: www.crossflow.com
For those who can make it we invite you to visit the Crossflow facility and
we would also arrange a demonstration flight.
It could also be arranged that you speak with Brian Boucher who owned the
Compair 6 (now sold). Brian is about to order a replacement aircraft and has
a higher horsepower CF6-33 series engine package about to commence assembly.

The issue was raised with Brian Denk of what would aircraft builders who are
now looking at a requirement for a 250+ hp engine installation expect of a
package designed in 2003 for service in 2004 and beyond. Brian was gracious
enough to provide a very extensive response. What attributes should it have.
What would you expect to pay. This question is aimed primarily at builders
seriously contemplating or commited to an 'alternative' engine. If members
would care to comment I'd be interested to learn.
