OK gang,
Since I was the one that spoke of dinner....I will take the point and
make the arrangements. As we get closer, I'll start taking names so
we can judge the size of the space that we will need.
It will probably be Tuesday or Wednesday so we can hook up early in
the week....in order to divide and conquer the booths and then
reconvene (sp?) to compare notes. In fact, I would like to travel to
booths as a herd, flock, and gaggle, in order to impress upon
vendors..... we are a united bunch that wants to be listened to.
Cheers!

I'd love to go but haven't even begun to make any sort of lodging
arrangements. What is everybody else doing? Is it too late?

Bob,
I checked all around OSH and all seemed sold out (actually got tired of looking after 7 or 8) I found places like the Hampton Inn in Green Bay still available, I didn't search to much farther. My Mrs. to be suggested a travel agent but I have not done that yet. Anyone know the exact travel form Green Bay to OSH? If all goes well I would also like to gaggle and Dine even though I haven't received my kit yet...I'm a bonafide deburrer, clecoer, dimpler, riveter and bucker for Bob Kaufmann...My empecone is set to be ordered about mid Feb first part of March.

Actually I'm considering going up in an RV to either the EAA
campground or one of the other local campgrounds. Anybody know how
quick the Camp Scholler RV area fills up - it appears to be run on a
no reservation basis.

Bob,
I've camped in Camp Scholler the last four years and it has never
filled up. You should be able to find a spot whenever you arrive.
Kinda depends on which day you arrive as to how bar back you would
have to go for a spot.
Let me know if you need to know more.

Rick,
Green Bay is about an hour drive to Oshkosh when the traffic is good
(50-60 miles). You might try looking for rooms in Appleton. It's
about a half hour closer on 41 and there are more hotel/motel places
in Appleton than there are in Oshkosh. Although it is late, by
Oshkosh standards, to be looking for a room for this year, hopefully
you will find something closer than Green Bay. If you are flying in
make sure you rent a car ASAP, as it is also very difficult to find
rental cars, as the time gets closer.
Good Luck,
Mahlon

Thanks for the info!!
I may resort to bringing my driving my gas guzzling over zealous American SUV and just camping my way through.
