Hey kids,
Last year, I stayed in the U of W dorms. They are small, most of
them are unairconditioned....but they are cheap. The bus runs on a
regular basis and is only $2 each way.....which is cheaper than daily
parking and they drop you off right at the front gate.
This year, I am planning to stay with my local EAA chapter 135 which
goes up and camps at the same place each year. I am told that it is
fairly close to the main gate. Some of the members are famous for
the grill work that is done and the campdire stories go on and on.
I'll inquire with the chapter to see if there is extra room or if any
of the members have suggestions.
In any case, the dorms will keep the storms off.....they provide a
room, mattress, and bed linnens.
Every time I tell the wife that I need a Winnebago she just
says..."so much for that avionics!" So a tent it may be!!
