kits will start shipping in September. It is Fortune magazine meeting Van and
discussing his past, present and future. He has really created a monster.

Subject: [RV10] Re: Wing wiring route question

I think I'm missing something - is the reason for tubing/conduit to
be able to more easily run future wiring or is there a major downside
using the recommended hole location and snap bushings?

In the left wing I ran the 2 AOA tubes along with wires for pitot
heat, gray Whelen strobe wire, RG-400 for a wingtip nav antenna, a
wire for position lights and wire for landing/taxi lights. There's
also the 2 #18 wires for the stall switch (yes, I installed it even
though I've got the AOA). I used the -8 instead of -7 snap bushings
and the fit inboard of the pitot tube was snug but not unreasonable.
I also included a run of fishing line just in case I need to pull
something later.

The article surprised me in one way, here's the
quote:
Van's most popular model, the RV-7, sells for
$17,000, with the engine and other components
adding another $40,000. A comparable
factory-built plane costs two to three times as
much.

1) They make comparable production GA aircraft?
2) You can get them for 104k?
