Has anyone installed insulation under the fuselage floor panels? If
so, what material and where did you get it.

I would recommend it as well. It practically weighs nothing and you
can really tell a difference on where it is and where it isn't when
you tap on the outside.
I think the most critical place though is where the exhause comes
out. I would not put it down the center the of the plane where the
push rods are though. I don't want any chance of it getting tied up
in it. But on either side is great.

I used enough to do under the front where your feet go, under the
rear passengers feet and seat, and the baggage compartment. It was
1/4" thick. If I remember right we ordered 2 square yards and we
still have quite a bit left. I don't know what I will do on the
sides. I have seen some nice sound proofing with material attached
for a nice finished look.
The insulation is fuel and flame proof. It appears to be closed
cell. I put it in water for 15 minutes and it didn't absorb
anything. When you squeeeze it tight it pops like packing material.
The idea is to just deaden some of the noise that the exhaust causes
and give a little insulation. Up here in Utah it can get cold even
though the heat is cranked and I haven't heard the best things about
the RV's heaters. Most wind noise comes from the top canopy /
doors anyway.
