Has anyone checked into the IO-540-T4B5 as far as compatibility for
the RV-10? I have looked on the Lycoming site and tracked the
progression from the D4A5 but don't really know how the changes
effect the use for the RV-10.
•D4B5 same as D4A5 but has -1200 series impulse coupling magnetos
•T4A5D similar to D4B5 but has D6LN-3000 impulse coupling dual
magneto and horizontal rear inlet fuel injector
•T4B5D Identical to T4A5D except for fuel drain boss location
•T4B5 same as T4B5D except has 2 Slick Magnetos
Thanks for any assistance.

Can't prove it, but would be very cautious about committing to an
engine with a rear mount injector...it will probably NOT work iwth RV-
10 nose gear. Also, dual mags can cause problems with upper engine
mount bow in two-seat RVs -- don't know about RV-10.

Using the listings you posted it looks like it would have a rear
induction sump which would probably make it unusable on an RV-10
because of interf. with the nose gear assembly. Even if it would
clear, you would have to design and build an entirely new air
induction system.
