For those of you who are wondering, maybe selfishly, like myself what's
going on with your Quickbuild parts coming from the Philippines with
the recent Tsunami, I did some leg work for you to dig up the info.
I called Van's and they said they haven't heard that the Philippines
was affected at all. They also said that the shipping would be across
the Pacific, not the indian ocean, so that heads the boats in the
opposite direction as well.
Not to be comforted enough by that, I dug in a bit...
As you may remember the old post, here is the website of the place
that does all of Van's QB components. (BTW, they are not done
in the Czech republic at all)

We are located at Km. 38 National Highway, Brgy. Macabling, Sta. Rosa,
Laguna, Philippines
Using that address and city info, I found some online maps.
This one shows the city. (Sta.Rosa)

Then, I cross referenced to this map to see the bigger picture.
(Zoom in on the insert map)

From that map it looks like the kits are built inland, just south
of Manila. Probably shipped out of Manila. (a guess)
Then, to get the bigger bigger picture, to see where everything
ties together with where the damage is, here's a good sized
map of Southeast Asia.

This one makes me feel more comfortable, since it looks like
the kits are built quite a ways from the destruction.
So, if you're like me, waiting for your QB fuse (or wings for
some of you), they're probably still on track.
