On the 10 year old RV-4, I'm hoping to purchase. Several Rivets on
the bottom of the fuel tanks appear to leak. The owner says that all
RV's "weep" somewhat and that it is not noticable other than to whip
the residue off with a rag when your cleaning the underbelly. Any
comments or concerns?
thanks in advance,
Anthony

Anthony, I'm curious as to which RV-4 yourlooking at as I'm up on the available ones on the market. I'm on the west coast so I don't get anything more than spec sheets & photos via email on the onesback there. Aero

It was listed in TAP, for sale in Virginia, flies great. It did
sustain some damage during an off the airport landing due to a carb
malfunction. So the gear and one of the tanks has been
repaired/replaced. Right now I'm having some trouble with getting
financing. Getting my commission into the Army as a 2LT this May
with some student loans and no house doesn't agree with the "powers
that be". Here's the interesting part, we (my wife and I) were
preapproved no problem for a General Avaition aircraft well above the
price range of the RV-4 we are considering. However the lenders look
at the experimentals a little differently, I guess. Any thoughts or
advice would be greatly appreciated. We are currently building an RV-
7 emp done, wings???. But with my military schedule we thought we'd
get a used RV-4 to get us a head start on the "grin".
