I need new tires on my RV-4. Does anyone have a favorite tire? Is
there a weight difference between brands that I need to be concerned
about?

Richard, I'm not aware of any weight difference, but there is a
profile difference. I recently got GoodYears for my -4, haven't put
them on yet. Call Desser Tire and Rubber, they will tell you what
tire is the proper profile tire for a taildragger of RV4 weight.
Some tires have a "shoulder" that is inappropriate for the canted
gear on the taildraggers. The GoodYears I bought have a more rounded
profile. There is an ad on this website somewhere. Great people.
I've used them for my last two planes with great service and prices.
They support the RV community, via their advertising on this site,
so I support them. The great service and pricing is frosting on the
cake.

Richard, I am on my sixth set and have tried 4 different brands. I
like the Aero Trainer from Sac Skyranch best and they don't hit my
wheelpants. ($19.95 each)...
