Home -> RV-4 topic: Fuel gauge hookup

Author: "tomzelie" <tzelie@...> Time: Sat Sep 24, 2005 4:07 am PDT Link

I have the Van's float type fuel gauges. My problem is that their is
no wiring diagram included. There are (3) wire posts on the cockpit
gauge labeled "G", "I" and "S". I assume that "G" goes to ground and
that "I" is the input. I have no idea what "S" is for. There are two
wires coming from the instrument which appear to be used for lighting.

Can anyone help me?

Tom,
I'm using Van's fuel gauges and sending units also. The lead
marked "S" is for the wire coming from the sending unit. The two
small wires should be the light. It should be removable. I could
scan the instuctions and email them to you if you wish.
