Hello,

Was curious if anyone in this group had a chance to compare the 6 or 7 with the 9?  And what your thoughts were on the differences.  Thank you.

If you're asking about flying comparisons, I think that Van's website
can answer most of your questions.

If you're asking about construction and/or physical size, the 7
fuselage is a 9 with 8 wings.......... The 6 has a smaller cabin size
and wings that have a 38 gallon capacity compared to the 7 and 8 which
have 42. Remember that the 9 only has a 34 gallon capacity.

I sat in both the 7 and 9 at Sun n' Fun and the cabin areas were the
same. I'm 6'1" and was very comfortable in both. The 6 however did
feel a little cramped to me

The August 2001 issue of Sport Aviation has a really good flight test article on the RV-7.  The author had flown theRV-6 and was able to make many comparisons.  It is a really good article.

Tim Lewis built a stall warning device on his -6a http://home.earthlink.net/~timrv6a/ (http://home.earthlink.net/~timrv6a/) and there are quite  a few people using AOA systems.  I'll be going the AOA route with my PSS AOA system.

I just realized from that Sport Aviation article that the RV's have no
stall warning.  Is anybody out there devising one or using AOA systems?
