Hi gang,
I agree with the posters on the pnuematic squeezer. It's a great tool. I
bought the three inch yoke which has been adequate up 'til now. I can see a
use for the "no hole" yoke for some applications. I ordered one yesterday,
I'll keep you informed on how it works out.
Ran into one minor "Gotcha" when building the V block jigs for the rudder.
On the plans (dwg 8) it specifies a dimension for the distance between the
centerlines of the two V blocks (46 3/4"). I took this to mean a centerline
on the 3/4 inch side of the partical board, and indeed that measurement will
produce V blocks in the positions shown on the plans. Trouble is, you can't
get at the holes on the sides of the skins to drill them. I went back and
looked at the Orndorff videos and noticed that his V blocks are considerably
closer. Anyway, a distance of 43 3/8" centerline to centerline, or 44" from
outside edge to outside edge of the vertical V blocks works better and looks
closer to what Orndorff does.

Darn, just mounted mine yesterday, and sure enough you're right. Couldn't you have come out with this just 1 day earlier!!
BTW- the pneumatic squeezer is my favoritetool, I luv it! I have the 3" and longeron yokes and can get most everything between the two.
Regards,
Walt
PS: wings on order for end of Aug.
