Emp -- HS rear and front spar
I'm to the point of priming (don't get me started on that) and need to drill trim cable hole in the right sideof HS 602. Why is it 5/8 when the existing holes in both HS 603pp is 3/8? I'm installing electric trim; am I reading this wrong, or are the sizes different for a reason? With electric trim, should I drill the larger size or what?

The trim cable hole should already be there..whether you have electric trim or manual, its on the left side.

Note: The hole must go in the left side of the spar, and it is not
there. The print note is incorrect, and they will be changing it.
It is correct for the view, but not for the standard l/r orientation
looking from rear to front. The hole is not there. I used a 5/8
chassis punch with perfect results. Don't try to drill this large a
hole in thin sheetmetal.

As stated the trim tab hole is on the left when viewed from the back of the
plane. I had success drilling this hole with a unibit. Small pilot hole
then the unibit.

Is this hole needed if one has electric trim? Or needed at the 5/8 inch
size? It seems to be sized for the cable, not a wire. I didn't drill it
while working on the HS front spar and it's good to know I didn't make Yet
Another Drilling Mistake...

Dan,
I spoke to the factory today and they say the hole is for those who
don't have electric trim. If you have electric trim the hole is not
needed. Although, if it has been drilled it could still be used as a
raceway for cables to feed lighting ...etc...etc... or just plugged
for future use.

Thanks Steve! This is what makes the list such a great resource. I'll
plan no hole at present and a little hole there or someplace else when it
comes time to route wires back to the position light on the rudder.
