Home -> RV-7 and RV-7A topic: Elevator Rivet Spacing

Yep, the spacing will be different for every stiffener. I used a rivet
spacing fan from Avery...buy/borrow/steal one, or have fun measuring.

Each stiffener had slightly different spacing. Of course the top and bottom
stiffener for the same station had the same spacing...

ok. now that we have that settled, "what the heck is
ACETATE?" and where do you get it? I apologize for
my ignorance.

I suspect we've been here before but I didn't take notes...

Is there a best rivet pattern on the elevator stiffeners? Seems to me I could
try to hold about 1.5 inch spacing on all the stiffeners (some would have
more rivets, some less) or use the same number on each with small spacing on
the short ones?
