I've seen VGs that are obliquely placed vertical surfaces along the
leading edge.
And I've seen what look like many individual leading edge slats
(which are horizontal surfaces like strakes held up by a vertical
thing in the middle) glued to the same area across the wing as the
VGs.
What's the difference?
