I clecoed my elevator trim tab together today and found that the control
horns are the shorter ones for the electric trim but I did not order the
electric trim, I guess I need to order the other ones right?

Yes. There is an article in the "21 Years of RVator" about the importance
of matching the length of those horns. Running the short versions with the
manual trim will make your trim too sensitive.

Bobby,
I ordered the electric trim after my empennage kit arrived so I still
have the manual trim control horns. Be glead to send them to you if you
send me your mailing address (you can contact me offline at
MaxHegler@m...)
Take Care,
Max

Gus, at Vans said he would send me the right ones. Thanks for the offer
tho. Everyone else might want to insure they have the correct ones.

I'm at work so can't review the plans and it may be there... but
what is the measurements ... long versus short trim tab control
horns. I'm getting ready to rivet the elevators together starting
this weekend and want to make sure that I have the correct ones for
the electric trim.
Thanks,
Doug

The easy way to tell is by gun siteing the Trim tab with the control
horns clekoed on. if the horns are even or just under being even with
the front edge of the skin they are the electric trim tab horns, if they
stick out past then they are the manual horns.
