I'm ready to sking the VS and notice the note in the instructions for
the wiring runs. What have the rest of you done and what would you
recommend? Am I overlooking some other instructions or drawings?
Thanks in advance,

I don't plan to have any lights or antennas at the top of the VS, so I
didn't do anything. I plan to have one white light/strobe in the bottom of
the rudder. I'm not sure how to run the wire for this, however. I'm
guessing a small hole in the bottom of the VS rear spar can later be
drilled after running the wire through the fuse.

I emailed Van's the other day with the same question. They said you propbably
won't put a lite at the top of the VS. If you do,wire can be added later,
though they didn't say how or where.

Just a thought.....
I don't know if you plan to install a VOR antenna or not. I do not.
But, I did install some of Van's plastic tubing up the vertical stab
just in case. I recently sold my RV-6 (sans VOR) and the new owner
was looking for a place to put the antenna. His preference was at
the top of the vertical stab but he couldn't get a wire up to it.

Ken,
The Orindorff video's suggest drilling a hole and placing a
snapbushing in the rib and then running a string through the holes
and tying them off on the ends for easy threading of a wire if you
show choose.
