Phil, and others who have done the rear spar:
In preparation to rivet the reinforcement plates to the tip and
middle of the rear spar, (w707E and F) -
I wonder if it would be a good idea to machine countersink the spar
top flange where it is doubled by these plates, in anticipation of
dimpling the skins.
Also, should I machine countersink the tip reinforcement plate
outboardmost 4 holes like the manual says, or should I machine
countersink the spar web, and dimple the reinforcement plate ? - I
understand that the aileron bracket covers these 4 rivets, and that's
why you use -426s.
Thanks,
Amit.

I drilled and dimpled the most inboard holes on the spar flange before I riveted on the reinforcement plates. With the match drilled kit it works pretty well.
I don't remember exactly what I did on the reinforcement for the outboard aileron hinge, but it would have been whatever the manual and/or plans said. Seems like it was machine countersink the plate and not the spar web. Yes you need to use AN426 rivets here or you will have a really messed up aileron attachment later. They are flush to get them out of the way of the aileron hinge bracket.
