RE: Pneumatic Rivet Squeezers.
If you have the Taylor or other brand Pneumatic Rivet
Squeezer from Avery Tools, I highly recommend the
Adjustable Set Holder from Avery part #274 cost
$59.00.
I found myself spending time frequently finding the
right dies so the squeezer would achieve the leverage
to properly squeeze the rivet. Sometimes you have the
wrong ones in and the plunger is just in the wrong
spot on the cam inside the squeezer. This adjustable
Set Holder allows you to just screw the plunger one
way or the other to adjust the distance between the
fixed die and the one which moves. Its a real time
saver.
I also purchased from Avery the NO HOLE/THIN NOSE
SQUEEZER YOKE part #7760 cost $140.00. I have not
used it on my Vertical Stabilizer yet but I believe
where some were using pry bars as bucking bars, this
yoke will allow squeezing the rivets even the ones
over the hinge brackets.

Looks like yet another builder is experiencing the inevitable "RV tool
collection expansion" and finding that Avery's RV builder's set isn't
really enough to do the plane well and completely. Most all of us are
discovering that rivet squeezing really needs three yokes: the 3" deep
standard one in the Avery kit, a longeron yoke for reaching over rib
flanges, hinges, etc., and one or another no-hole yoke for squeezing those
pesky trailing edge rivets.
I would second the value of the adjustable set holder for the pneumatic
squeezer; find myself tweaking it a turn or two frequently in the middle of
a rivet line.
I recently made a "second pass" through the Avery catalog to pick up tools
I didn't know I needed until I recognized they were a better solution to
building challenges than I had previously come up with. This resulted in
dropping another $400 into the tool category, for a total of $2800 now (and
that didn't include the compressor I already had). But just think how much
fun this is going to be from this point forward. Once that RV is flying,
one can tweak and renovate it as a never-ending hobby.
A high quality tool is one of life's enduring pleasures...

Didn't work for me but if you get it to work let me know how so I can learn.
