it sounds pretty awesome.
I finally got a ball park price out of the company -
$30,000.
I would tend to be much more interested in a rig like
this since you would have no gear reduction box (more
parts to fail) - and as some mentioned high RPM's just
mean more wear and tear.
However, i'm still sold on Lycoming - but it's nice to
see someone working on what might turn out to be a
nifty alternative in the years to come.
Sure with the EAA would provide insurance for builders
willing to try these alternatives. How are we ever
going to find out if they are reliable if no one puts
them in airplanes?

I have to admit, the new Dynacam is very interesting. Assuming all
their "pie in the sky" comes around for them (and I hope it does,
because that would be a giant leap in engine design) that cowling
installation sure would look good on an RV-8 swinging a beefy
composite 4-blade prop. It would look very similar to a P-51.
