Any tricks to mounting the trim tab servo?
Looks like I need to trim off about an inch off the narrow (aft) end of the z
brackets, cut off excess flange on the top side of the z brackets, mount it
as far forward as possible.
Based on some past messages over this net, I countersunk the holes to mount
the nut plates and dimpled the holes for the screws. Looks like I should
rivet the nut plates in place before back riveting the reinforceing plate on
to the skin.
Anything else?
Thanks for the help.

I'm not sure if this is absolutely necessary, but I elongated the 3/8" hole
that is cut for the servo wire upward so that the servo could be installed
without having to bend the brackets outward .... or adversely putting
stress on the wire when installing the servo. When it is all complete, the
servo sits in the brackets "snuggly" (if that's a word!).
Just did this operation a couple of weeks ago.
Also note that the hole in the spar for the treaded rod (from the servo) to
clear was already cut in the right spot.
