Hi all.
I just posted some info on how I mounted my taillight.
Took me longer to figure out what I wanted to do than it did
to make it.
Hope this helps someone. I thought it turned out pretty good and
I didn't have to deal with 'glassing something in to hold it on.
I don't think the added weight is a factor.

That looks very nice. Will you come over and install mine?

Hi James,
Nice work. This is exactly how I would like my strobe/nav to fit. Your advice and clear pictures come at the right moment. This mailgroup is just great !!

I couldn't leave it alone and came up with another idea to screw the
strobe onto the rudder tip.
Sorry, I just can't help it sometimes...
... the voices in my head won't stop until I make something.

Looks like you'll be flying before my fuselage gets here. Tell you
what.... fly down here and let us take a look at your plane and while
you're here, I'll put your taillight on for you. How's that sound?

I'm not sure what I'm gonna do with the wing tips, yet. Gotta get
'em
here first. Wife keeps spending my Wing Fund money.....
I have been giving some thought to those pop-up lights like the
corvettes have. There's an article in last months Sport Aviation on
a
Glassair (I think) that has something like that. Guy says they
double
as speed brakes.... hmmmmm... I posted 2 new pictures and another
idea I had for the tail light.

Thanks! Makes me happy to know that I'm able to contribute something
useful to our community. I had another idea for this and posted some
more info and a couple more pictures.
I also want to take this opportunity to thank EVERYONE who has posted
their ideas to this group and/or who have taken the time to set up
websites to share with the rest of us.
Man, if it wasn't for the web and all this information available to
us, I'd still be scratching my ass trying to figure out how to set up
the HS jig. Three weeks before I ordered my Emp kit, I didn't know
what a cleco was. Now, I have the whole tail end of an airplane
sitting in my shop and a pretty clear idea of how MY airplane is
gonna look when I'm finished. THANK YOU ALL!
