Drawing 14A shows the aft rivet on the flap nutplate as a 426 flushhead
rivet. Seems to me the rib is too thin for a countersink. I can't see the
need for a flush head rivet here, but I didn't see that I had a AN470AD 3-3.5
rivet. What to do?

Thanks for the help

Roy

I don't have the drawings in front of me but seems like I remember
the large nutplate was mounted on the backside of the rib and heavy
alum stiffener plate

The flush riv would be cc into the stiffener

I will check dwgs tonite

Roy,

I just countersunk the flap aft nutplane rivit into the rib and it
worked out fine, but I think you're right, that rivit could just as
well be a 470.
