I will admit that I am a woodworking tool nut. I have quite a
collection and have spent many dollars but I plan on using those
tools for life.

Now that I have my kit sitting on the garage floor its time to start
buying airplane tools but I don't plan on building another airplane
and don't want to buy new tools. I have looked at many online sites
including Ebay and all of the kit plane and trade-a-plane type
magazines for a complete tool kit from a completed builder or at
least good quality used tools without success. Does anybody have any
good sources for good qualtity used tools?

Thanks

I found this place one day. I have not bought anything from them and the when I ask the guys on other boards about it they say Avery is a good place to get tools (clearly they are not on a budget).

I've bought a number of items from the yard store and have not been
disappointed. Everything was as represented.

I will admit that we are metal-working tool nuts. We have quite a
collection and have spent many dollars, but WE plan on using those
tools for life. Most builders on the page love building, and would
never dream of departing with their dearly beloved tools, especially
after they have built the plane of their dreams. It's kind of
sentimental. Actually builders on this page have not yet completed
their kits or are building a second, third, or fourth plane with their
tools. My advise is to "bite" the bullet and buy new, good quality
tools. I would also recommend to shop around and buy from all the
distributors, not just one of the so called "tool kits"(they
are no where near complete). Here are some links....
