Home -> RV-7 and RV-7A topic: Aileron Final Riveting

I've got my left aileron clecoed together and am ready to rivet the
top row. I put a slight bend in both the top and bottom skin of the
leading edge where it rivets to the spar with the Cleveland miracle
tool, but it still looks like (with only clecoes in place on top)
that whe I pull the skin to cleco in the rear ribs and bottom skin
that there will be a gap between the trailing edge of the nose skin
and the trailing edge skin. Will the rivits pull this snug? Did
other folks roll the overlapping skin more than "barely visible" with
an edge rolling tool? I want that to lay flat and not have a gap
there.

Thanks for the advise,
Tom Wruble
