I was wondering how many people ended up with a perfectly straight
trailing edge on the left elevator when sighting down the trailing
edge of both the elevator and trim tab. Mine looked good and
straight so I riveted both hinges onto the elevator and trim tab and
now it appears that it's not so straight. When sighting down the
trailing edge, the trim tab appears to cant off a few degrees. Also,
the shaft connecting the trim tab to the servo is off left/right but
ok up/down. I know from the archives that some have bent the shaft
up or down for clearance, but has anyone bent it left/right for
alignment.

You can fix the trim tab allignment by bending it before you drill
the tab holes. If they are already drilled, there isn't much you can
do about it
I had to bend my rod both verticaly and horizontally to get it to
fit just right. They were both very slight bends.

Tobin, not to worry. I had the same problem with my tab and simply drilled out the rivets on the ends of the tab, lightly clamped it to the flat worktable, and re riveted the end tabs. Viola! A straight tab and trailing edge. The whole process took only about twenty minutes. Good luck.

I had the similar problem. I drilled out the rivets at the ends of
the trim tab and straightened it up... then put the blind rivets back
in after straightening the holes a little. It turned out just fine.
