What is the favored place to run lightweight PVC conduit in the QB wings? Search of the RV-List archives (Matronics) tend to point to running it between the 1st and 2nd lightening holes aft of the spar.... about 1" above thelower skin.
What do you think? Will this location allow the wiring to enter the fuselage of a -7A without interference or interfere with the aileron/flap controls and/or is there a better location to run the conduit?
Thanks in advance.

I think the spot you mentioned is probably ideal.
Mine goes through in the upper forward corner of each main rib...while that
worked out great in terms of minimizing interference with the aileron
pushrods, I think the spot you mentioned (maybe 6-9" aft of the spar or
whatever) would be better. The reason is because you can't really put snap
bushings in the fuselage side right there up against the spar since the
fuselage side has the F-704G or -H or whatever it is taking up that space,
and you don't want to cut into that puppy (at least I don't).
So going a bit aft will let you put a snap bushing in the fuselage side
exactly aligned with where your conduit comes out at the root. Good spot.
And as long as you run it either at the very top or bottom of the rib (I
forget which would be best, check the pushrod location), it shouldn't
interfere with the small steel aileron pushrod.
Long way of saying, "I think you nailed it."

Hello Jack,
I drilled out the snap bushing holes. This seemed like a good spot. One consideration is how much interference will the tubing cause when riveting the final skin on. At the location we used the interference was minimal.
