Home -> RV-7 and RV-7A topic: rudder trim tab

I been sitting here looking at this months RV calander shot which
features a RV 7a. I noticed that it has a rudder trim tab. Hmmmmm ,
I am getting ready to close up the trailing edge of the new rudder
and wonder if I should leave a few rivits out for the tab or put a
tab on right now. ( can bend it later ) What the opinion out there ??

I thought about that myself once. I decided that with the offset in the VS
there is a chance that I won't need it. If I don't then my rudder will look
good. If I do it won't be a big deal to drill out a couple of rivets and
put on a tab later. It would really suck to have that thing back there and
have no need for it.
