My wife and I are a unsure which part to bend first... just kidding.
Actually, we placed the sliding canopy on the fuselage today and
measured it all out. Everything was looking good until we placed a
straight edge on the top of the fuselage skin. The canopy is too low
on the right side and too high on the left. Can the canopy frame be
tweaked into shape? The plans include bending it around large round
objects to get it to fit. Seems a little drastic to me. But, it
might work.
Does anyone have a web page or a link that can help us get the fit
right the first time. I know me... every time I start bending
things... well let's just say I'm a bull in a china store.
Thanks ahead of time.
Here is a more explanatory (picture) page of my dilemma:

There was a very good article in the 5th issue of the 2002 RVator from
the people at Van's about fitting the sliding canopy parts. I'm just
starting my canopy installation and haven't used all of these
instructions yet, but they seemed to answer alot of my questions about
the installation. Hopes this helps, Curtis
