Hi all

Anyone knows about some homebuilding done as a school / college /
undergaduate programm or some community kids activity?
I want to start something like that and I need "proof of concept",
i.e. to show that it can be done.

Best regards
Mike

Contact EAA, they have been keen advocates of this learning style for
40 years. They will have a huge database of successful programs at
the high school level. You may be able to get them to spring for plan
sets and technical assistence.
Good Luck

You might contact Paul Kendrick, fellow RV-7 builders, whose email address
is found at http://rv7.hypermart.net/. I believe he has an undergrad RV
building course going on at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo.

There's a fabulous teacher at the Washburn High School in
Minneapolis who fits this request perfectly. His name is Peter
Denny. In fact, he was just featured in the EAA Chapter 25
newsletter this month. Here's a link:

At the moment they're restoring a Gusty. They recently got a grant
to begin construction of a Sonex.

Here's an article in the paper about it:

loc=detail&doc=/2002/December/06-3284-news03.txt

And here's Denny's Web site

I hope this helps.
