I just received the pitch & roll servos for my Trutrak a/p and noticed that
the drawing for the pitch servo mount differs a bit from my RV7A QB.
Specifically, in the mfg drawing the floor rib behind the baggage
compartment adjacent to the bellcrank appears to be a different
configuration, i.e. not a traditional "U" shape but rather an "s" shape.
Maybe the "s" shaped rib is how the RV6 was done but in my case the rib is a
traditional "U" shape. How are people mounting the steel bracket for the
pitch servo? Securing just to the floor rib or to the rib plus the fuse
bottom skin? In the mfg drawing it looks like the bracket is intended to fit
in the flange of the "s" rib and is then secured thru the fuse bottom skin
and rib flange - then secured to the side of the floor rib. In this case I'm
not sure it's worth drilling holes in the fuse bottom skin to attach the
bracket since the rib flange is on the opposite side of the assembly (the
"U" shape vs. "S" shaped rib causes this) Opinions and insights are
welcome.....
Regards,
Joe

You are correct that drawing doesn't properly resemble the RV-7. Maybe it
came from a -6 or something. Anyway I riveted mine to the rib and the
bottom skin. I thought it made for a little bit more robust mounting but I
imagine that just riveting it to the rib would be plenty.
Godspeed,
