Hi everybody,
I would appreciate help with two questions that I have regarding the wings
and wiring.
I will be picking up my QB wings at Vans soon. I order to save crating
charges I will go down with a wing crate and take them home in a U-Haul. My
question is, could anybody provide me with the dimensions of the wing as it
is in the QB stage without wingtips and flaps, ailerons. I am also looking
for shops that wire harnesses to my own specifications,
Thanks everyone and happy building
Franz

I did the same thing with my project. Vans is very familiar with what size
truck/trailer you will need. Bill Palmer and I did it together and used a
Uhaul 26' truck and 6'x11' trailer for both an RV7 and an RV8 (2x
fuse+wings). A set of wings fits fine in the trailer. Use the Uhaul in
Portland the prices were much cheaper. One last piece of advice, bring
donuts and the guys loading will be your friends for life!

Hi Franz,
For the 7 wing it's 9' 7" long by 3' 11" wide and just
short of 8" thick as it comes in the quickbuild form.
Have fun, Robert QB7A, wings
