Does anyone use pvc pipe for electical conduit in wings? If so how do
you recommend securing it? I am planning on using pvc to house
shielded wire for position/strobe lights and runing wire for
landing/taxi lights. the two grommented holes already in wing will
be used for static pressure lines for AOA system and plumbing and
wiring for heated Pitot.

John
I used a piece of 3/4 inch cpvc pipe
drilled a hole in the ribs and slid the pipe in. holes are sized for
a slight friction fit
mine are pretty tight without any attachment.
Don't know about getting it in there w/ the QB model

In the left wing where I have used holes for static and pitot lines we
are thinking we will put some wire ties loosely hanging into the
lightning holes from the forming notches. Then after riveting the lower
skin along the trailing third of the wing slipping in a pvc conduit
and securing it with the wire ties hanging there.

I have the QB wings and installed CPCV (white) throught wing ribs.
It was a chore getting holes drilled in the ribs, and the conduit is
tight... no chance of slipping.

John,
Take a look at the photos I just uploaded to the RV-7 Yahoo Group
Photo Section.
I installed 3/4" solid PVC using 4 "hangars" in the second lightening
hole. Works great.
