I would have thought that an enterprizing builder could design and fabricate
a heated pitot tube without too much difficulty. I am thinking: take a
normal pitot tube, add a thin layer of epoxy, then wrap some resistive wire
around the length of the tube, add more epoxy, sand, polish, and connect
current to produce, say, 65 deg F. Is it more complicated than that? Or does
everything have to be TSO'd?
