Home -> RV-7 and RV-7A topic: Missing Part ?

Author: "Ron Walker" <ron@...> Time: Fri Jun 27, 2003 9:26 am PDT Link

I've started my flaps (yeah) ... I've stumbled a bit looking for a part to
complete the initial "fit assembly". The plans
(http://home.earthlink.net/~n706lg/MVC-145S.JPG) call for a rod end bearing
CM-4MS with an internal lock washer AN936A416 that attaches the flap
actuator arm to the flap reinforcing plate. I've checked my inventory list
and these parts are not listed. Can't see anything about this in the
archives. Have the parts been replaced and my plans are just out of date ?

I suspect they may be part of the fuselage kit perhaps ?

Though I'd check here before tieing up a phone line in to Van's ;o)

It seems like that part comes with the fuse kit.

The missing rod end bearings are part of the fuse as you suspected.

All you really need at this point is the -4 nut plate.

Pick one up at the local mechanic or ACS.

Ron,

That rod end bearing will be with your fuselage kit.

Ron,

My RV-7 kit didn't have these items either. I believe they are in the fuselage kit with the rest of the flap actuation components.
