Fellow builders.
The left side forward spar bolt holes were missaligned on my QB
fuse. I tried using longer hardware bolts for dift pins. this
helped, but not enough. Van's builder assistance advised that
missalinement was not possible because of the jigs they use. Finally
some one suggested that the doublers may be the problem. I used a
pocket knife (sharp) to pare away the metal on the doublers. Now
with longer drift pins hardware bolts go in fairly easily. I then
discovered interferrance with the landing gear weldment. I re bored
these holes also. Will really find if allignment is o.k. when I put
wings on for final time. Right side was lined up o.k. left side was
only problem.
