Hi Folks,
Curiosity question; are the tips for the 9 rudder (for the 7)
and vert. stab. the same as the original? Sorry if this is
old hat/been asked.

I think what was done was the original RV-7 rudder was replaced with the original RV-9 rudder. The VS tip was also replace with the 9 tip so the height would match.

I have built both rudders
The tips are different
The vert stab is the same as its always been and the rudder is
taller so the tip on the VS has to be changed out to a taller model.
Then again I'm not sure if that was the question.
