I'd just like to say I met Bob Collins at the Oshkosh RV builders
BBQ he hosted in 2003 and found him to be a very genuine, generous,
sincere person. He may have opinions that all of us don't always
agree with(as we all do), but he has contributed a lot to this group
as far as actual RV building goes. Bob has overcome a lot of
obstacles in his personal life to work out compromises so he can
continue to pursue his dream of building his own aircraft. Several
months ago, I believe this group talked him out of quitting his
project. I for one, would very much like to see him back on the
list. He was also doing a lot of the moderating work, so if you
think things were slow to get posted before, they will probably be
even slower now. Two recent threads (BRS chutes and a theoretical
W&B scenario) went way beyond anything that was productive for the
goals of this group and should have been stopped before they got
personal. Moderators take note. Lets keep the group focused on
subject and get our airplanes built.

Don't worry, Bob will be back. It's in his blood to write and the
BRS thread had a few of us on his case (good or bad, does not matter-
-that's what this list is all about and the takeways are valuable).
Bob will have no choice but to rejoin or he will be dealing with a
lot of whitdrawl shakes. He's too close to this list to let go that
easily. Tonight, Bob will watch the debate and he will see a man
that does not let others dictate how he runs and defends his
country. I hope he learns from him the same and decides that
letting others dictate how he ought to run this list is not for the
righteous man. I hate to see both man go and hope we can keep both
because we need them real bad.

Yup, I'm very sorry to see BC go as well, but each to their own decisions.
A little controversy is how we learn and is part of life. I do not want the
moderators to censor this type of learning. Gross indecency needs censoring
but good old disagreements are healthy and a wonderful learning
experience!!! (it bubbles the gray matter and I need that) BC was great at
that and so I feel we have lost a pillar of the group. We'll miss you, Bob.
Now remember I'm just a lurker dreaming of my RV in the future so don't
waste your time on me!
