Hey Group,
I hesitated to ask but its bugging me. I put my emp horizontal stab
together with elevators and hung it on the wall next to my
desk/office building room. Could it damage anything hanging by the
spar???
I sure dont think so but there is quite a bit of led on each elevator
tip.
Sorry for the maybe silly question but it may hang there for over two
years...

Just distribute the weight (or hang it by the spars exposed in the middle)
and it shouldn't be a problem. I hung my HS (without elevators) by two tie
straps from the garage ceiling for a while, and the worst that happened is
"overspray shadows."

Doug,
Too late. It's probably already ruined. Just kidding. It should be
fine. I would just make sure that it is supported at both ends and in
the middle in one or two places.
Have fun.

While getting ready for the first hurricane of many this season (I'm
in FL) I found a nice storage spot for my empennage. With the
exception of the HS the entire empennage (small rudder) fits inside
the wing crate. I found the HS fits between the wings on the wing
cradle that Vans suggests.

I bought some nice adjustable straps from Harbor Freight and hung the stab
on the wall. The straps wrap around the leading edge of the stabilizer and
attaches to the two hooks in the wall. John Robinson RV-7A Still on the
