Just as I was installing my rudder and brake pedals, I read an article
in Sport Aviation about rudder circuits. I gather the RV-7 has an
"open loop" circuit? In other words, each pedal pulls on its
respective rudder cable when you step on it, but there's nothing other
than the rudder aero load to return it? For instance, if I reach down
and pull a rudder pedal towards me (aft), the cable would go slack on
that side, and nothing would oppose my force?
I looked at the drawings and could find no rudder return spring or
pulley.
Thanks,
Martin
