Is shielded wire necessary from the alternator to the alt. circuit
breaker to insure no radio interferance? ACS has 8 awg shielded wire
for over $4 per foot. I would rather pay now, than have a problem
later and have to fix it.

Mine is not shielded and I don't have any radio noise.
