Is there a good reason NOT to secure the baggage & center section
floors with nutplates rather than the LP-4 pop rivets called out? Is
there any advantage to using nutplates here?

Bob,
Only do this mod if you are going with a CS prop or at the very least a metal FP.
It looks like the wood and composite FP 7's are coming in tail heavy and this mod will contribute to the aft CG. If you are tail heavy, you will want to move 'stuff' forward of these compartments.
This is only my two cents of course but this item is at the very top of my "What would I do differently if I could do it again" list. It was a LOT of work for nothing in my case. If you are going CS, excuse the rant. Good luck.

I was in the unfortunate position of having to remove the baggage
floor for maintenance (I used LP-4's). Drilling out the LP-4s and
reinstalling new ones was super easy. The only hassle was that the
center tunnel nutplates were riveted through to the floors.
If I had it to do over again: Rivet the center tunnel nutplates and
bottom baggage wall nutplates only to the ribs (i.e. don't drill or
dimple to the floors). Then go ahead and just LP 4-3s for installing
the baggage floor. In the unlikely case you need to remove the floor
it only takes a few minutes to drill out a bunch of pop rivets. Saves
the weight and time for installing a zillion nutplates.

The big advantage I can see is accessibility while wiring , disatvantage is
probably more work to install all the nut plates,

Bob,
The biggest reason NOT to is the number of nutplates that are
required, assuming you replace rivets 1:1 with screws. I did just that
and will install flat-head screws. I haven't counted the nutplates,
but it approaches 200 when done. All panels for my interior will bre
removable including the baggage side panels. In my mind, the extra 7-
10 hours of effort you may spend now will provide a nice return on
investment for maintainability and peace of mind in the future.

Nut plates require a lot more time to install and require maintenance such as when they strip out...the aluminum pop rivets drill out super quick if you need access...
