Has anyone successfully used a filler of some sort to fill the gap
between the channels and fill the pop-rivets on the tip-up's rollbar?
If so what did you use?
I was thinking expoxy & microballoons. Whatever it is, I dont want it
to pull away or crack over time.
Thanks for your advice.

Clean thoroughly and then use a thick mix of micro filler and epoxy. I used
Rage to spot fill after that.
Keep in mind that anytime you are using a filler there is a potential for
cracks with time. Nature of the beast.

Scott,
SuperFil works extremely well. It does not shrink or pull away and
bonds well. It's easy to sand to a smooth, paintable surface.
It's available through Spruce or others.
