Home -> RV-7 and RV-7A topic: RV7 Kit for sale in MN/WI area

Author: "pepeborja925mb" <pepeborja925mb@...> Time: Wed Jul 20, 2005 12:31 am PDT Link

I decided to sell my RV7 project and pursue building my second kit car
instead. Details in the for sale section of the MN Wing. Tail and
Wings are finished and the fuse with dual brakes and manual trim is on
its way here. Some tools are included in the deal. Pretty much all
one would need is a rivet gun, a drill, some drill bits, and time.
(No finish kit)

Pepe, what priming system did you use. And where was it applied.

<SNIP> Pepe, what priming system did you use. And where was it

Zinc Primate and Sinc Oxide to ribs , spars, etc, with NAPA rattle
cans to skins. I really did not want to use primer, but I knew that
w/o it resales would be difficult as, for some reason, RV builders
have to have primer in the ariplane. My current bird is 5 yers old,
all aluminum, and is unprimered. All the aluminum airplanes in my
neck of the woods like mine have no primer.

So, I went overboard and primered everything.

Pepe, how could you??

Always looked forward to your contributions and you seemed so committed to
build. Wha' happened? We'll miss your inputs.

Side bar.. What kind of kit car (first and second)?

Amen to that Jose...

What a waste of good primer... shame on you. ;-)

Good luck with the car project and keep in touch!

Jose,

You will be missed. At least, you already have something to fly. I hope
you enjoy the car project.

Tracy.
