I just finished clecoing the aft lower fuselage skin F778 to the F706
bulkhead (bellcrank bulkhead) and I notice that the forward facing
flange of the bulkhead protrudes forward 1/16" past the front edge of
the lower skin in the direct vicinity of the bellcrank support (in the
middle of the bottom of the bulkhead). The "overlap" then tapers away
to zero at the side of the bottom skin and the the skin is flush with
the bulkhead at the side skins (which is what you'd expect).
Everything seems to be set up properly. Has anyone else found that
that their F706 bulkhead flange does not sit flush with the bottom
skin in this location.
I thought initially that the F729 bellcrank rib assembly might have
been incorrectly fabricated too long thus pushing the bulkhead forward
at that position...but I've checked it and I don't think there's
anything wrong with it.
Any comments.

Hi Bob,
I too am having difficulty in this area. My bulkheads were cleco'd in and I
went to test fit F-729. While it was a tight fit, the rivet holes on F-729
which attach to the bottom skin were only 1/2 visible (ie &-729 was located aft
by 1/64").
So removed the forward bulkhead, installed F-729, then re-installed the forward
bulkhead. While it does fit (very tightly I might add), It's not up to the
standards I've come to expect from the pre-punched kits.
I've reviewed both Dan C's site and Walter's site. Walter mentioned that it
was a tight fit. So maybe it's "normal".
