What is the best method to bend the canopy frame. We have the roll bar
set. The canopy frame however is a different story. The sides are
fine but the top of the frame is a little low where it meets the top of
the roll bar. The front of the frame is a little high. If we trim the
frame, the top will be even lower. I know the top of the frame needs to
be bent upwards, I am just trying to figure out how to manipulate the
frame. Any information would be most appreciated.

While we are talking canopies - I have a question - I'm ready to
install the rear window on my 7A. I want to put a small bead of sealant
between the plexiglass and the aluminum skin. Can I use something like
the DAP acrelic latex caluk plus silicone or do I have to order
something special? I remember there was a recommended caulk but when my
computer crashed I lost the info.

Thank,
Dennis H.

Dennis Lexel seems to be the recommended product. You
can get it online from kayak or marine supply houses.
Just google Lexel. good luck.

Ace Hardware stores carry it also :-) It is the prefered sealant for
the canopy.

Hi Dennis,
We have used Sikaflex for your goal and it worked out very good. Other
builders have also used this with good results. Be aware however that you'll
have the right combination of cleaner/primer/glue. For a tip-up you'll need:

- SikaCleaner 205, 1x250ml

- SikaPrimer 209, 1x250ml

- Sikaflex 295UV, 2 cartridges of 310ml
