Now that should get just about everyone's attention.
Thanks everyone for the input on the electric trim.
Didn't realise it was another one of THOSE topics,
like primers and such.
Now this next question isn't meant to start another
long thread.
Is there any rattle can self etching primers that work
well? I've gone through hours of archives and haven't
really found out.
Thanks
Cameron

Hi Cameron. I use Sherwin Williams GBP 988 spray bombs. It's easy
to work with and dries in less than 15 minutes.

Napa auto parts also has a self etching primer in spray bombs - part number 7220. Nice nuetral gray, dries in a few minutes. Some local Napa stores don't stock it, because it's not a big seller (more expensive than the non-etching primers). But, they can order it and have it in a day or two.

Todd,
That's what I've been using and it appears to work very well. Covers nice, dries quick, and I don't have to drag out the spray gun/mix primer/clean gun/etc... for every little bracket. I'm sure the epoxy type primer seals a little better, and maybe the plane will last a little longer, but nothing lasts forever.
Quick and easy NAPA 7220

Cameron, yes there is. Try NAPA # 7220 self etching primer made by Martin Senour Paints.
I use it on all my small stuff and have great results. Use a degreaser on the part and spray.
